Report: State Nursing Home Inspections Deficient

GLENS FALLS—State nursing home inspectors fail to cite serious deficiencies such as malnutrition, bedsores and abuse in their annual inspections of facilities such as Eden Park Health Care Centers and other nursing homes across the country, according to a report issued this week by the Government Accountability Office. Couple Guilty Of Sick Scheme Using Unlicensed Nurses

WESTCHESTER COUNTY—A husband and wife team have been convicted on charges they illegally billed the state $3.2 million when they provided health care services using unlicensed nurses. The charges, brought by State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, were the result of audits conducted by the state Comptroller’s office. (Read more…)

More Charges For Mother In Abandonment Case
